the answers
Are there scholarships available?
Yes! This year we are offering a limited amount of scholarships for students who demonstrate financial need. Check out our scholarships page for more information.
What airport should I fly into?
Ordinarily, we recommend flying into either DCA or Dulles. Although we cannot provide transportation to campus, both of those airports are relatively close to the GMU campus.
Is registration first come, first serve?
Yes. Unlike in previous years, we are not doing a camp "application" of any sorts. Any student who wishes to register for the camp is invited to attend. We will not accept more than 200 students, and we accept on a first-come, first-serve basis.
What are the safety protocols regarding camp?
We will be using asking participants to provide proof of vaccination. If unable, we need to have the camper submit to testing throughout camp. Vaccination status will be taken into account when making roommate assignments during camp. As of May 1st, we are also talking with Fairfax Public Health Department as well as the University's Office of Risk Management to make sure that we have all the necessary protocols in place. Masks may be mandated for community public spaces, such as lectures or field trips. Please be aware this is a constantly evolving public health issue, and we reserve the right to make all necessary decisions to secure the well-being of all our campers and staff members. We will be communicating with campers before camp begins to initiate event specific needs so please check email regularly, especially after June 15th.
