Students who decide to concentrate on public address events (original oratory and informative) will be under the unique instruction of some of the most experienced coaches in the country. Students will learn how to choose topics, research, write drafts, and learn the fine points of delivery.
Those who come to the GMIF to study the performance of interpretive events will learn from some of the most experienced and successful high school and college coaches in the country. Students will learn the basic skills of choosing an appropriate piece, cutting it down to fit the suitable time limit, and how to develop characters within the performance framework.
Extempers at GMIF will learn from a talented and experienced group of faculty, all of whom have had national success at either the high school or collegiate levels! Here they will learn speech substructure, critical thinking skills, develop methods of analysis, record current events, and fine-tune delivery.
Students will have the opportunity to work with recently graduated high school forensicators who have both regional and national success!! Our staff is excited to pass on their knowledge and help future competitors learn the practice and techniques that they acquired through valuable experience. We are regionally diverse and familiar with expectations that arise as you compete across the nation!!
